    2. Moneda Hawkins, 94, of Texico, Illinois, died at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at her home. She attended school in Champaign, Illinois, St. Joseph, Illinois, and also Climax School.  Mrs. Hawkins was a member of Donoho Prairie Christian Church, and enjoyed sewing and quilt making. Funeral Services for Mrs. Hawkins will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013, at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, with Jonathan Schnautz officiating.  Burial will follow at Donoho Prairie Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at the Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to Harmony Cemetery or to Donoho Prairie Cemetery, and will be accepted at the funeral home, or by mail to Osborn Funeral Home, P.O. Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-Law, Janice Glee and Ray Simmons of Texico;  three Grandchildren, J.R. Simmons and wife Darla of Xenia, Clay Simmons and wife Sandy of Shorewood, and Gala Smith and husband Shaun of Texico;  five Great Grandchildren, Alicia Williams, Laken Simmons, Jessica Simmons, Maria Smith, and Felisha Smith; and one Great Great Grandson, Adrian Mora. She was born on April 6, 1919, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, the daughter of Oscar and Cora Ida (Purcell) Chambliss.  On November 4, 1938, in Mahomet, Illinois, she married Jewett Emerson Hawkins, and he preceded her in death on December 19, 1986. In addition to her husband, Jewett Emerson Hawkins, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, T.O. Chambliss; and two sisters, Vivian Byars and Doris Stirewalt.
