Ellen Marie Ashleman, 43, of Benton, IL, died Friday, November 1, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.      Ms. Ashleman was born on December 18, 1969 in Murphysboro, IL the daughter of James Ray Heise and Linda (Alexander) Heise.      Ellen graduated from Benton Consolidated High School and Rend Lake College with four Associate Degrees.  Ellen worked at Hardee’s Restaurant in Benton for thirteen years and was of the Christian Science Faith.  She was a member of the Sierra Club, Habitat for Humanity in Benton and The Greater Marion Area, and enjoyed art.      Surviving relatives include two daughters, Liz Marie Price, Benton, IL, Glenda Kirsten Shelton, Woodlawn, IL, her mother, Linda Heise, Benton, IL, and one sister, Vera Heise, Benton, IL, uncles, Gene Alexander, Benton, IL, Don (Jean Marie) Alexander, Benton, IL, Danny (Mary) Alexander, Mahomet, IL, and several nieces and nephews.      Ms. Ashleman was preceded in death by her father.      Ellen’s body will be cremated and a memorial service may be held at a later date.  Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home & Crematory in Benton is in charge of arrangements.      Visit www.hobbsjohnson.com to sign the memorial guestbook.
