The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Saturday, October 16, 1971 August Geiger Mt. Vernon August Martin Geiger, 67, of 1717 Main St., died yesterday at his home. He was born at Galena on May 25, 1904, the son of August and Anna (Knoble) Geiger, Sr. He was married in 1920 (sic) to Maggie Bradford, who preceded him in death on Sept. 21, 1967. Mr. Geiger was employed as a salesman for Rawleigh Products. He was a member of the Epworth Methodist church and Lodge 31. A.F.&A.M. Funeral services will be held. Monday at l:30, at Myers Chapel, with Rev. Roy Van Horn officiating. Burial will be in West Salem cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Masonic services will be held at Myers Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Geiger is survived by a niece, Mrs. Betty Forbes, Edwardsville; and two nephews, Ed Stevens, Ina, and Henry Buskool, Springfield.
