    3. The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Tuesday, April 26, 1966 Harold Dixon Dies Today At Age 52 Years Harold William Dixon. 52, of 714 Herbert, died at 8:30 a.m. today at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was a trucker. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body has been taken to Myers Chapel. Mr. Dixon was born October 14, 1913, in Jefferson county, the son of Oscar and Lillian (Bean) Dixon. In 1936. in Benton, Ill., he was married to Erma Gullick, who survives. Other survivors include his father, Oscar Dixon, of Mt. Vernon; two sons, Kenneth Lee Dixon and Ronald Gene Dixon, both of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Janet Kay Lyons of Waltonville, and Mary Donna Ellis of Escondido, Calif.; two brothers Loren Dixon and Bob Dixon, both of Mt. Vernon, four sisters, Sadie Morgan and Pauline Dunavan, both of Mt. Vernon, Marie Crawley of Granite City, and Pearl Alma Piercy of Escondido, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Bethel Tabernacle. The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Wednesday, April 27, 1966 Funeral services for Harold William Dixon will be conducted at 1:30 p. m. Thursday at Myers Chapel. Burial will be in West Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 p. m. today. Mr. Dixon, 52, of 714 Herbert, died at 8:30 a. m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital.
