George was born in Wisconsin. His wife Bertha Ward Jacobson's obit is in the Rootsweb JCI archives. The Jacobson family had a farm and peach orchard just west of the Old Baptist Church & Cemetery. Many families would work there during peach picking season. Both of my parents' families knew this family well, and I remember both my parents saying that they worked there when it is peach picking season. I only ever knew the Jacobson's as Uncle George and Aunt Bertha and their son was Uncle Frank. Bertha had already passed away before I found out that we weren't really related to them.
