Zola E. Collins, 91, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 7:50 A.M. on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Zola was born on Sunday, July 15, 1923 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the daughter of the late William J. and Lillie (Harpoole) Sendelbach. She married Kenneth E. Collins on July 27, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2000. Surviving family members include her 2 daughters: Phyllis Beal and husband Charles of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Sue Fally of Edwardsville, Illinois; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Her parents, husband, two sisters: Marguerite Thomas and Bennie Barton and one brother: Don Sendelbach preceded her in death. Zola was owner and operator, along with her husband of Collins Cleaners on 11th Street. She was a member of Logan Street Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Funeral Service: 24 Jul 2014 - Mt.
