The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Monday, October 23, 1961 Effie Easley, 93, Of Route 2, Bluford, Dies Mrs. Effie Easley. 93, of Bluford. Route 2, died at 1:00 p. m. Sunday at her home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p. m. Thursday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Vernon, with the Rev. W. E. Allison officiating. Burial will be in West Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday. At noon Thursday, the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour. Mrs. Easley was born February 7, 1868, in Franklin county. She was married to Drury Easley on September 8, 1892. She was a member of the Sugar Camp Baptist church. Survivors include three sons, James of Mt. Vernon, Walter L. of Bluford and Charles Easley of Chula Vista, Calif.; one brother, brother, (sic.) James King of East St. Louis, Ill. 13 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
