The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Monday, February 17, 1964 Gussie Caborn Funeral Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Gussie Caborn will be held at 10:30 a. m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 p. m. today. Mrs. Caborn, 81, of Jacksonville, Ill., died last Thursday in that city. She was a former Mt. Vernon resident. She was born June 21, 1882, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of James and Tempe (Winters) Malone. On Nov. 21, 1901 she was married to Thomas Caborn who preceded her in death on April 20, 1938. She is survived by three sons, Glen and Myron Caborn of Cleveland, 0., and Paul Caborn of Ontario, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Royster and Mrs. Mora Russell, both of Rockford, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. May DeWitt of Mt. Vernon; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
