The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Friday, April 29, 1955 Memorial Rites For Mrs. Buckham A memorial service for Mrs. Katherine C. Buckham, widow of Richard F. Buckham, Sr., will be held Monday at 3:00 p. m. at Myers Chapel. Dr. R. B. Guthrie will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Buckham, a former Mt. Vernon resident, died February 4 in San Diego, Calif. She was born April 6, 1871 in Salem, the daughter of Jacob O. and Emily (Merritt) Chance. She was married to Richard F. Buckham, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1932. Surviving are two sons. Waller M. Buckham of San Jacinto, Calif., and Richard Buckham of Normal, Ill.; a brother, W. W. Chance of Pasadena, Calif.; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
