Vernon Register-News, Wednesday, May 12, 1965 Mrs. Francis Blanton Dies At Age Of 90 Mrs. Francis Blanton, 90, died at 10 o'clock this morning at her home, 1309 south 18th street. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Blackwell Temple A.M.E. Zion church. The pastor will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at The Parker Funeral Home. where friends may call between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Blanton is survived by one son, Manuel Parrott of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters. Mrs. Fannie Moss and Mrs. Rose Wade, both of Mt. Vernon; one brother, Hervin (sic) Jones of Obin, Ky.; one sister, Delia McClure of Obin, Ky.; 16 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
