Vernon Register-News, Thursday, February 4, 1954 Charles Blanton Dies At Age 91; Rites Saturday Charles C. Blanton, a retired employee of the Mt. Vernon Car Mfg. Co., died at 11:59 last night at his home, 1305 south 18th street. He was 91 years, five months and 29 days of age. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p. m. at the Zion A. M. E. church. The Rev. George Tate will conduct the services and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will remain at the Campbell and Parker Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4:00 p. m. Friday. Mr. Blanton is survived by his wife, Frances, and one son, William Blanton of S t Louis, Mo.
