I believe I have found daughter Cora's first marriage on ancestry.com which I have transcribed below (signatures of the Deputy and Recorder were hard to read): Application for License to Marry Affidavit of Male State of Missouri, County of St. Louis I, Glenn W. Patterson of East St. Louis and state of ILL desiring to procure a license to marry Cora Crider of East St. Louis and State of ILL do solemnly swear that I am of the age of 21 years, and that I am single and unmarried and may lawfully contract and be joined in marriage. Signed: Glenn W. Patterson Subscribed and sworn to before me, this 31st day of July 1920 By: Jerry Sturm?? , Deputy Wm. H. Tytty?, Recorder Affidavit of Female State of Missouri County of St. Louis I, Cora Crider do hereby solemnly swear that I am the person named in the above appllention for a marriage license and that I am of the age of 18 years, and that I am single and unmarried and may lawfuly contract and be joined in marriage.
