Carolyn was born June 23, 1942, in Mount Vernon to George and Martha Davis Cowan. She married Darrell D. King. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Vince (Becki) King of Minier and Alan King of Atlantic, Iowa; five granddaughters, Jess, Alyssa, Alli, Sara and Hanna; one great-granddaughter, Raelyn; and one great-grandson, Braxten. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents. Carolyn had been a teacher's aide and bus driver for Olympia School District. She was a member of Armington Christian Church. Cremation rites will be accorded. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014, at Armington Christian Church. The Rev. David Hoffman will officiate. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Sept. 12, at her church. Burial will be announced at a later date. Haensel Funeral Home in Minier is assisting the family with arrangements.
