The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Monday, August 20, 1973 Mrs. Mabel Ellis Mt. Vernon Mrs. Mabel Juanita Ellis, 67, of Route 4, died at 10:50 a.m. Sunday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Harper officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Visitation at Myers Chapel will be after 5 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Ellis was born Oct. 10, 1905 in Hamilton county, the daughter of Wellington and Margie (Cummins) Fulford. On Feb. 21,1925 she was married to Albert Ellis, who survives. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors insurance club. Mrs. Ellis is survived by two sons, Ray and William Ellis of Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Mayme Valentine and Mrs. Marie Frazier, both of Mt. Vernon; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one granddaughter.
