The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Monday, September 12, 1949 Add Flannigan Dies at Age 50 Add Ray Flannigan, of 719 Lamar Avenue, died at 7:35 a. m. Sunday at Koch Hospital, in Koch, Mo. His age was 50 years, eight months and three days. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a. m. at St. Mary's church, with Father James Burke officiating, and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will remain at the home, 719 Lamar, where friends may call at any time until the funeral hour. Mr. Flannigan was born January 8, 1899, the son of Monroe M. and Virginia A. (Mabry) Flannigan. He was married December 26, 1922 to Jacueline Thomas, who preceded him in death in 1942. Mr. Flannigan was a member of the Catholic church. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Virginia Flannigan; two sisters, Mrs. Ted Scott and Mrs. Jack Newby of Mt. Vernon; and two brothers, Lehman Flannigan of Mt. Vernon and Fred Flannigan of Evansville, Ind.
