The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Tuesday, April 29, 1969 Mrs. Cecil Creek, Former Resident, Dies At Age 51 Mrs. Cecil Marie Creek, 51, of Gary, Ind., a former Mt. Vernon resident, died at 6:00 p.m. Monday at her home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. She was married to Frank E. Creek, who survives. Other survivors include her mother, Mrs. Oara Kolmer of Mt. Vernon; one son, Thomas Wayne Creek, of Gary, Ind.; three daughters, Patricia Sploer and Judy Lynn Ferrel, both of Gary. Ind., and Brenda Jean Creek, at home; two brothers, William E. Hayes and Fred Deichman, both of Mt Vernon; one sister, Venita Flanagan, of Gary, Ind.; and nine grandchildren. The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Wednesday, April 30, 1969 Creek Funeral At 2:00 Friday Funeral services for Mrs. Cecil Marie Creek, 51, of Gary, Ind., a former Mt. Vernon resident, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Park Avenue Baptist church. The Rev. Everett Lemay will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Creek died Monday at her home in Gary, Ind.
