Edward Lorenzo "Ed" Lively, age 90, of McKinney, Texas, formerly of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014 at His home in McKinney, Texas. Ed operated Ed Lively Ornamental Iron business for over thirty years and was a member of the Mount Vernon Masonic Lodge #31 AF&AM and Wesley United Methodist Church in Mount Vernon. He was a devout Christian who loved life and spending time with his family. Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Paul Widicus presiding. Visitation Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Edward Lively is survived by his wife of 70 years - Helen Lively of McKinney, Texas; 2 sons - Ed Lively of McKinney, Texas, Steve Lively and wife Dodie of Carterville, Illinois; 4 grandchildren - Melissa Finetto and husband Chris of Plano, Texas, Eddie Lively and wife Michelle of Allen, Texas, Abby Lane and husband Shannon of Carterville, Illinois, Lindsey Baldi and husband Joe of Carterville, Illinois; sister - Joy Jeffries of Effingham, Illinois; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Edward Lively was born on Friday, August 1, 1924 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Wilson and Lena Lively. His parents, two sisters, one brother, and daughter-in-law: Paula Lively preceded him in death.
