Ok, so I found Joseph with his parents in 1900 census in Farrington Twp, JCI and found his parents marriage too: Illinois Statewide Marriage Index DAVIS, JOSEPH MUIR, MARY E 1872-11-29 00D 0214 SHELBY Date of the marriage fits with the number of years they say they have been married in the 1900 census. It does not appear this Davis family is connected to my Davis family from Surry Co, NC. Her sister Flora, I have 1900 for her birth year and her marker says 1901, think this a family that did not know what was going on or changed it to suit themselves.
