The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Tuesday, November 29, 1966 Orville C Mick Dies; Services In Mt. V. Friday Orville Carson Mick, 70, of 1101 Prairie, died at 2 a.m. today at his home. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Loyd Burge officiating. Friends may call at the Myers Chapel after 4 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in west (sic.) Salem cemetery. Mr. Mick was born April 1, 1896, in Hamilton county, the son of Robert and Janie (Ross) Mick. He was a crane operator for the Mt, Vernon Car Co. and the Electric Autolite Co. for several years. He was married Oct. 15, 1921, at Mt. Vernon to Edith Antle, who survives. Other survivors; three daughters, Janet Sue Mick of the home, Mrs. Doris Edwards and Mrs. Linda Short, both of Hammond, Ind.; one son, Robert Mick of Ridgecrest, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Ella Morgan of Mt Vernon, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two children.
