The Mt Vernon Register-News, Wednesday, October 31, 1962 James Moore Of Dahlgren Dies At Age 92 Years James Joseph Moore of Dahlgren died at 8:40 p.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was 92 years, eight months, and two days old. Mr. Moore was a salesman and a carpenter. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Myers Chapel. Burial will be in West Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday. He was born Feb. 28. 1870, in Franklin county, the son of Alfred and Sarah (Mathus) Moore. In Jackson, Mo., on Sept. 25, 1911, he was married to Iva Hayes, who survives. He is also survived by a son, Byron Moore of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Marshall of Joliet; two brothers, Guy Moore of Tuscola and Teh (?) Moore of Springfield; four grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
