The Mt Vernon Register-News, Thursday, January 23, 1975 Iva Moore Mt. Vernon Mrs. Iva Moore, 83, of 1008 North l0th St., died at 6:40 p.m. Wednesday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. R. L. Schlag officiating. Burial will be in West Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. today. Mrs. Moore was born Dec. 20, 1891, in Jefferson county, the daughter of Tom and Cassie (Mclntyre) Hayes. She was married to James J. Moore, who preceded her in death in October, 1962. Survivors include one son, Bryon Moore of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Marshall of Joliet; two half-brothers, Fred Hayes of Mt. Vernon and Carroll Hayes of Benton; three half-sisters, Maude Allen of Phoenix, Ariz., Ora Conaway of McLeansboro and Georgia Swartz of Chicago Heights, Ill.; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
