Vernon Register-News, Tuesday, March 29, 1966 Mrs. Opal Taylor Dies Early Today Mrs. Freda Opal Taylor of 121 Opdyke avenue, died at 4:50 a. m. today in Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 64 years, four months, and 10 days. The body has been taken to Myers Chapel. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Mrs. Taylor was born Nov. 19, 1901, in Wayne County. She is survived by a niece, Mrs. Ione Fitzjerrelles of Bonnie. Vernon Register-News, Wednesday, March 30, 1966 Rites Friday For Mrs. Opal Taylor Funeral services for Mrs. Freda Opal Taylor, 64, of 121 Opdke Avenue, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel. The Rev. Maurice Paxton will officiate and burial will be in West Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Taylor died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born November 19, 1901 in Wayne county, the daughter of Horace and Mary Ann (Marshall) Gaskill. She was married to Chester Taylor, who preceded her in death in 1940. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
