The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Tuesday, February 12, 1973 Liza Trowbridge Benton Mrs. Liza Trowbridge, 92, of Benton, a former resident of Mt. Vernon, died at 9.15 p.m. yesterday at her home. Mrs. Trowbridge was born in Jefferson county on Sept. 14. 1880, the daughter of Abraham and Marriam (Highsmith) Carter. She was married to Walter Trowbridge, who preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Ross Partridge officiating. Burial will be in West Salem cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Trowbridge is survived by two daughters. Mrs. Opal Hayes, Benton, and Mrs. Mildred Dye, Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter, two sons, three sisters, a brother and a half-brother. The Mt.
