    3. The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Friday, November 25, 1949 ED FRY, MT. V. AUCTIONEER, IS DEAD AT AGE 74 Well Known Resident Found Dead in Bed. Funeral Here Sunday. Thomas Edward (Ed) Fry, well known Mt. Vernon auctioneer, was found dead in bed this morning at his home, 1512 Perkins Avenue. His age was 74 years, one month and six days. Mr. Fry had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p. m. at Myers Chapel and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call at any time after 10 a. m. Saturday. Mr. Fry was born October 19, 1875 in Marion county but spent most of his lifetime as a well known resident of Mt. Vernon. He was the son of William H. and Sarah (Edmonds) Fry. He was married to Rosa Belle Gregory, who preceded him in death June 16. 1942. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. May Ruth Fry of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Blanche Janke of Wichita, Kansas; a son, Robert L. Fry of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Mrs. Martha Donoho of Little Rock. Ark.; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
