The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Tuesday, December 4, 1962 Rose Gilmore Dies At Age 79; Rites Thursday Mrs. Rose Mary Gilmore, of 232 Opdyke Avenue, died at 5:30 p. m. Saturday at the Wutzler Nursing Home in Odin, Ill. She was 79 years, three months and one day of age. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p. m. at Myers Chapel. The Rev. Vernon Dodson will officiate and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 4:00 p. m. Wednesday. Mrs. Gilmore was born September 2, 1883 at Peru, Ill., the daughter of George and Tresia Schlosser. She was married to Morgan Gilmore, who preceded her in death January 11, 1931. Surviving are one son, Norbert Gilmore of Centralia, and two grandchildren.
