Does anyone know what the E. W. is for? The Mt. Vernon Register-News, Tuesday, July 9, 1957 Rev. E. W. Fox Dies At Age 66; Rites Thursday The Rev. E. W. Fox of RFD 4, Mt. Vernon, pastor of the Liberty and Zion Methodist churches, died at 4:30 a.m. today at Good Samaritan Hospital. The Rev. Mr. Fox, who had been a patient at the hospital for the past two weeks, was 66 years, nine months and 13 days of age. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Myers Chapel, and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. The Rex. Mr. Fox was born September 26, 1890 at Martinsville, Ind., the son of David and Estella (Foster) Fox. In 1916 he was married, at Martinsville, Ind., to Mary Elmore, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Lawrence, who is with the Air Force at Blytheville, Ark., and Charles of Alton, Ill.; a brother, Forest of Martinsville, Ind.; two sisters, Nannie and Mary of Martinsville, Ind.; and two grandchildren.
