Everett M. Clark of Gilberts Funeral services for Everett M. Clark, 80, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Born Oct. 22, 1929, in McLeansboro, Ill., the son of Marion G. and Grace M. (nee Pierce) Clark, he died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family. On March 27, 1954, he married Velma Irene "PeeWee" Birkhead. Everett was a 47-year resident of the Gilberts area and a former longtime heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local #150 and an Army veteran. Survivors include his children, Crystal (Glen "Butch") Varney of Huntley, Patricia (Robert "Bob") Walser of Schaumburg and Everett Jr. "Bub" (Laura Kunold) Clark of Gilberts. Everett is also survived by his grandchildren, Douglas, Angela, Heather, Aslin, Nathan, Collin and Stephanie; his great-grandchildren, Colton, Kailyn, Carter, Logan and Emily; his longtime friend and former daughter-in-law, Kim Kunold-Clark, his sister, Dorothy (Paul) Wheeler of DeKalb; and brother, Randall (Donna) Clark of Georgia. Several nieces, nephews and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years, Velma I. "PeeWee" Clark on June 14, 2009; and a brother, Adrian Clark.
