Douglas Parker Sargent, 49, of Florissant, Missouri passed away at his residence in Florissant, Missouri on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Mr. Sargent was born on March 17, 1961 in Beech Grove, Indiana the son of David Sargent and Patricia (Pemberton) Sargent. Surviving family members include mother: Patricia Sargent of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; brothers: David Sargent and wife Debbie of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Darrin Sargent and wife Tracy of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; sister: Terri Weatherford and Mike Krutsinger of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 2 nephews: Marc Sargent of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Derek Fatheree of St. Louis, Missouri; 2 nieces: Pharrah Sargent of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Addison Sargent of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; great niece: Bristal Ziegler of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; great nephew: Bryton Sargent of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; Godson: Bradley Koenig of Florissant, Missouri. His grandparents: Parker Sargent, Juliet Sargent, Richard Pemberton, Anita Kline and father: David Parker Sargent preceded him in death. Douglas worked for Boenig International as an Industrial Engineer. He really enjoyed all sports especially the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams. He liked the Western channel on TV. He was very involved in his godson's activities and loved to tease his nieces and nephews. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mr. Marty Mills will officiate. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. INTERMENT: Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois.
