William E. Bailey, 80, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 4:55 A.M. on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at White Oak Rehabilitation Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was born on Thursday, June 29, 1930 in Hamilton County, Illinois the son of the late James Frederick and Genevieve (Hook) Bailey. He was never married. Surviving family members include his brother: John Q. Bailey; sister: Maudie Brown of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; several nieces and nephews also survive. His parents preceded him in death. William was of the Baptist faith. GRAVESIDE SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mr. Randy Sells will officiate. VISITATION: In honor of the family's wishes there will be no visitation held. INTERMENT: Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
