Ruby Eleanor Thompson, 90 years, seven months and 15 days old, of Mission, Texas, and formerly of the Vandalia and Brownstown area, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010 at Comfort House in McAllen, Texas. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4 at Miller Funeral Home in Vandalia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 at the funeral home with the Rev. Joe Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Forbis Cemetery in rural Brownstown. For those who wish, memorials may made to Forbis Cemetery.
