Jeremy Mikeal Payne, 22, of Opdyke, Illinois passed away at 7:34 P.M. on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Continental Tire in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He was born on Saturday, January 2, 1988 in Carbondale, Illinois the son of James Douglas Payne, Jr. and Tonya (Buchanan) Bibby. Surviving family members include his mother and stepfather: Tonya and Craig Bibby of Opdyke, Illinois; 3 sisters; Anna Riley and husband Charles of Belle Rive, Illinois, Amber Payne and Jon Lake of Opdyke, Illinois and Samantha Payne of Opdyke, Illinois; grandmother: Esther Payne of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 2 nieces, 3 nephews, several aunts and uncles also survive. His grandfathers: Bernard Buchanan and James Payne, Sr. and his grandmother: June Richardson preceded him in death. Jeremy worked for Continental Tire of Mt. Vernon, Illinois as a part of the cleaning crew in the mixing department. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Hope Hutcheson will officiate. INTERMENT: Farnsworth Cemetery in Keenes, Illinois.
