Annabelle James, 74, Belle Rive, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at Mt. Vernon Health Care. Mrs. James was a homemaker. She was born Oct. 31, 1936, in Grayville, a daughter of Allen Murel and Trula (Wiles) Fairchild. Annabelle's husband, Royce James, survives. Her funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Robert Sefried officiating. Burial will be at Middle Creek Cemetery, near Dahlgren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. In addition to her husband, survivors include two sons, Rick Allen James of Belle Rive and Steve Wagoner of Alabama; a brother, Raymond A. Fairchild of Fort Worth, Texas; a twin sister, Lulabelle Harrington of McLeansboro; a granddaughter, Jessica Wagoner; two grandsons, Derick Royce James and Steve Neal; and four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Bailey, Rushdon and Rori. Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; one sister; and a daughter-in-law, Debbie James. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
