MT. VERNON - Donald and Nancy Stewart of Bonnie would like to announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacy, to Jason Burkett. Stacy is a 1993 graduate of Mt. Vernon Township High School and is currently employed at Bumble Bee Child Care Center in Mt. Vernon. Jason is the son of the late Larry and Karla Burkett of Woodlawn and the stepson of Earl Downes of Woodlawn. Jason is a 1992 graduate of Woodlawn High School and is currently a teacher in Fairview Heights. A Nov. 20 wedding is being planned.
