McKinney researchers I need your help. I found a newspaper clipping of an obit for E.T. McKinney in the things I inherited from my grandparents and I can't figure out how he fits in with other McKinney families I have in my genealogy database. Can anyone help? Who are Harve McKinney's parents? Here's the obit: E.T. McKinney Mt. Vernon Everett Thomas McKinney, 63, of 1004 S. 19th St, was dead on arrival at 2:15 p.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born Aug 5, 1908, the son of Harve and Lizzie (Childers) McKinney. Mr. McKinney was a janitor at the shoe factory for 28 years. He was married to the former Bessie May Foster on Feb. 8, 1930. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edna Marie Harris and Mrs. Allie Louise Osborne, both of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Ila Bernice Brown of Harrisburg,; one son, William Everett McKinney of Phoenix, Ariz., and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. Everett Lemay officiating. Burial will be in the Union Chapel cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
