Danny W. Young, 63, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 10:00 A.M. on May 11, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. * *Mr. Young was born on January 19, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the son of the late Ernie and Lora (Webb) Young. He married Carolyn Davis on November 24, 1967 in Bluford, Illinois. Surviving family members include his wife: Carolyn Young of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 1 son: Danny W. Young, Jr. and wife Christy of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 3 grandchildren: Elly, Brady and Riley Young all of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; 3 sister-in-laws: Judy Roberts and husband John of Keenes, Illinois, Peggy Davis of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Cheri Newkirk of Missouri; several nieces and nephews also survive.* *His parents and 1 brother: Ernie Young, Jr. preceded him in death. FACTS Mr. Young worked at General Radiator and then later worked at Joy Manufacturing. He enjoyed his dogs, Penny and Abby. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was proud of his 1952 Ford 8N Tractor. *** *** ARRANGEMENTS: VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 13, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. GRAVESIDE SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Pastor Josepha Lecke will officiate. INTERMENT: Oakwood Cemetery in Mt.
