STANLEY R. PUGH, 76, of Benton, Illinois formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away at 3:24 A.M. Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Franklin Care Center in West Frankfort, Illinois. He was born on November 1, 1934 in Jefferson County, Illinois, a son to the late Lewis R. and Alice B. (Braden) Pugh. He married Sharon L. Grimes on May 26, 1956 in Mount Vernon, Illinois she preceded him in death on March 31, 2006. His parents, his wife, his sister: June Austin and one brother: Lowell Pugh preceded him in death. His Surviving Family Members include two Sons: Michael R. Pugh of Benton, Illinois and Stan M. Pugh of San Francisco, California; three Granddaughters: Elizabeth Michelle Pugh of Cadiz, Kentucky, Susan Renee Faith of Murray, Kentucky and Christina Joy Robertson of Hamlin, Kentucky; four Great Grandchildren: John Gallagher of Hamlin, Kentucky, Alexandria Elizabeth Gallagher of Cadiz, Kentucky, DuPre Rogers of Cadiz, Kentucky and Nicholas Crass of Metropolis, Illinois and a Brother: Harold Pugh of Centralia, Illinois. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was a member of Jackson Grove Baptist Church and retired from General Motors There will be no visitation. GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois with Reverend Donald Bullard officiating. INTERMENT will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois. MEMORIALS may be given To the Family and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O.
