Walter E. "Walt" Harrah 53-year-old Mt. Vernon resident, Walter E. "Walt" Harrah died at 11:15 p.m. Monday, May 9 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney. He had been a manager for Western Sizzlin Steakhouse for over 20 years; manager of Ryan's Restaurant and was most recently employed by ECOLAB Co. in Mt. Vernon. Survivors include his mother, Arline Propps of Oak Hill, WV; his wife, Cartha Harrah of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Whitney Owens and Libbey Harrah of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, James Harrah of Opdyke and Timothy Harrah of West Virginia; four sisters, Myrna Pilato, Sue Mullins, Tammie Harrah and Donna Propps, all of West Virginia; three grandchildren; his father and mother-in-law, Nate and Joan Tyler of Mt. Vernon; two sisters-in-law, Tressa Morgan of Mt. Vernon and Cara Littleton of Millersville, MO. Services for Walt Harrah will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 13 at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with burial in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, IL. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 Thursday evening, May 12 at the Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon
