Heres what I have: William M. Drew b. May 1, 1829 TN. Lived In Franklin county, Illinois with first wife in 1860 census 1860 Franklin Co.,Ill. Wm. M. Drew age 31 . 1829 Francis F. 28 b. Ky. Francis F. Hawkins b. 5 Apr 1832; d. 5 Feb. 1872 Cornelia C. 9 Vitula 7 Alice 5 July s. 2 They had a son Jonathan Benjamin Drew He should be in 1870 census which I couldn't pull up. *This is further proof that Wm. Martin is the son of Jonathan Drew and Jane (Martin) Drew. It has been custom in family to name a son after both grandfathers. His father being Jonathan and her father Benjamin (also I believe my 2nd gt. grandfather Jonathan to be son of a Benjamin Drew. In 1860 Josephine age 14 in 1860 census of Franklin in home of John W. Drew and wife Alcy. The Clarks in this household which include mother Sarah . abt 1804 are from the father Abraham b. 1799 NC. He dies in 1880 , mortality shedule. Notice there was a John Clark b. 1840\ A James Clark b. 1844 Abraham Drew with wife Sarah and children appear I believe in the 1850 census of Jefferson co.,Ill. Ch. Eliz. b. 1838 Caroline b.1839 John b.1840 Wm. b. 1843 Lavinia b. 1846 James b. 1843 Josphine not listed.(Proved by information on her death. In 1870 Franklin I find Josephine listed with (she is 14 b. 1856? James Clark age 30 I believe brother Mary J. 32 Also in 1870 in Jefferson we have John Drew 34 Caroline 29 Louisa 12 Thomas 7 Wm. 4 Julia 20 Josephine 23 b. 1847 He obit list her as being b. 1860 along with death information. But it all comes back to the same Wm. M. Drew b. 1829 I find no other record other than death information that she was b. 1860 and yet it has to be the same Josephine Whats your opinion? All the Drews related. I can only assume one of them married a Clark? Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
