Sarah C. "Tine" Bennett, 95, a resident of Easton, Mass., for the past 59 years, died Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Easton, Mass., after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Frank Bennett. Born in Mt. Vernon on Feb. 1, 1916, a daughter of the late John and Stella (Woodall) Wheeler, she was raised and educated in Mt. Vernon. Sarah worked as a seamstress in the garmed in dustry and was employed by Nardi's Sportswear of Brockton. Devoted to her family, she enjoyed fish, sewing and making quilts. She was a former member of the Evangelical Congregation Church of Easton. She is survived by five children, Bobbie Roney of Westerly, R.I., Charles Roney of Berkley, Frances Donley of Ebeeme, Maine, Wilma Giarusso of Middleboro and Frank Bennett, Jr., of Colorado; a sister, Nona Gill of Easton; 30 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Ruth Millington, Betty Guild, Barbara McGregor and Ferman Bennett and was predeceased by five brothers, Normal, Victor, Arthur, Elam "Red" and Howard Wheeler; and two sisters, Mable Campbell and Nellie Black.
