MT. VERNON - Margaret Jane Edwards, 89, of Mt. Vernon died at 4:45 p.m. May 5, 2011, at Nature Trail Health Care Center in Mt. Vernon. She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Lee Roy Edwards and Kathryn Adell (Harelson) Edwards. She is survived by her cousins, George Edwards of Marion, Norma Knox of Mt. Vernon and Sandra Smith of Mt. Vernon; several other cousins; and special friend Sherrie Knox and husband Lindell of Woodlawn. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with Lindell Knox officiating. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the West Salem Trinity United Methodist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt.
