John Erwin Maroni, 62, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 11:42 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2011, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. In honor of his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the the Maroni family for animal rescue and will be accepted at the funeral home or mailed to Hughey Funeral
