Virgil Gale Bruce 60-year-old Rt. 2 Bluford resident, Virgil Gale Bruce died at 9:30 a.m. Monday, May 9 at Crossroads Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL. He was a heavy equipment operator. Survivors include hhis wife, Cynthia Bruce of Bluford; sons, Billy Simpson of Barnhill and Jason Simpson of Wayne City; daughters, Holly Angle of Cisne and Jamie Simpson of Bluford; brothers, Gary Bruce of Wayne City and Dale Bruce of Keenes; a sister, Cathy Trotter of Wayne City; 7 grandchildren; three nieces and one nephew Services for Virgil Gale Bruce will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City with burial in Egbert Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 Wednesday evening, May 11 at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.
