Mon May 09, 2011, 07:30 AM CDT MT. VERNON - Dianne McLean, 58, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 9:06 a.m. Saturday, May 7, 2011, at St. Mary's Good samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was born Nov. 24, 1952, in Decatur, a daughter of Thomas Nelson and Rose Marie (Russell) Nelms. She married Jimmy Rodgers McLean on March 8, 1975, in Shawneetown, and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1999. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with Marty Mills officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. McLean is survived by her mother; a son, Trey McLean of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Kelly Hale of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren, Trey T. McLean of Houston, Texas, Jordan McLean of Alexandria, La., Hannah Warren of Mt. Vernon, Drayton McLean of Mt. Vernon and Elijah McLean of Mt. Vernon; and two sisters, Kay Henry of Mt. Vernon and Sharon Shinall and husband J.D. of Decatur. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; and brother-in-law, Tuffy Henry. Mrs. McLean was a member of Central Christian Church and loved her family dearly.
