Vernon, Illinois; mother: Marjorie Benoist and stepfather Bud of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; daughter: Caitlin Smith of Springfield, Illinois; brother: Blake Smith and wife Cathy of Spartanburg, South Carolina; sister: Laura Smith Moreland and husband Doug of Indianola, Illinois; 1 niece and 3 nephews also survive. Mr. Smith was born on October 16, 1956 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois the son of Anson Smith and Marjorie (Risley) Smith. He was married to Jennifer Sloan. Private Services will be held with Reverend Rob Dyer officiating. INTERMENT: Smith Cemetery in Jefferson County, Illinois.
