MT. VERNON - Lila Mae Watts, 79, of Ina died Wednesday night, Feb. 16, 2011, at her home. She was born July 23, 1931, in West Frankfort, the daughter of Alva Richard and Dorothy Alice (Porter) Lee. She married Bobby Lee Watts on Sept. 18, 1948, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2010. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Mrs. Watts was a member of the Ina Baptist Church. She is survived by four children, Carole Ann English and special friend Louie Thery of Ina, Billy Bob Watts and wife Mikah of Bonnie, Mary Beth Bowers and husband Gary of Ina; son-in-law Jerry Welch of Ina; grandchildren Robert Welch, Brian Welch, Nick Welch, Michelle Allen, Emilee Mygatt, Kylie Hicks, Traven Watts, Angela Irvin and Jeremy Johnson as well as 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Watts was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Georgia Lee Welch, and a son-in-law, Randy Johnson. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Johnston Funeral Home in Ina with the Rev. Dale Burzynski officiating. Burial will follow at Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ina Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home at any time.
