Sharon K. Delaney, 69, of Opdyke, Illinois passed away at 5:33 A.M. on Monday, February 14, 2011 at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mrs. Dleaney was born on Monday, January 26, 1942 in Opdyke, Illinois the daughter of the late Howard and Thelma (Thompson) Nichols. She married Donald Delaney in 1960. Surviving family members include her husband: Donald Dulaney of Opdyke, Illinois; 2 daughters: Kay Hennebique and husband Ray of Kent, Ohio and Carla Delaney of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; grandson: Michael Hennebique of Kent, Ohio; 2 sisters: Darlene Ziegler and husband Charles of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Arlene Hicks of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; brother-in-law: Charles Clark of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; several nieces and nephews also survive. Her parents, one sister: Patricia Clark and one brother-in-law: Bob Hicks preceded her in death. Sharon was a homemaker and later worked for Addus Healthcare Systems; she was a very caring person who loved to help others. VISITATION: will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 P.M. service time Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Reverend Gary Davenport will officiate. INTERMENT: Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois.
