GRANDSON OF THEODORE BEATY AND MARY LEONARD BEATY Thomas Ray Johnson, 51, of Ewing, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 1, 2011, at Depaul Health Care Center in Bridgeton, Mo. He was born in Aurora on May 7, 1959, the son of Loyd and Katie (Beaty) Johnson. Mr. Johnston was employed at Walgreen's. He is survived by his parents, Loyd and Katie Johnson of Ewing; two daughters, Veronica Johnson of Thompsonville and Cheryl Johnson of Thompsonville; a granddaughter, Desirae; a brother, Charles Johnson and wife Connie of Las Vegas, N.V.; a nephew, Scott; a niece, Shannon; and a special friend, Rhonda Sprehe of Mt. Vernon. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Thurmond Cemetery in Ewing. There will be no visitation. Those attending the service are requested to meet at the cemetery. The Johnston Funeral Home in Ina is in charge of arrangements.
