Billie Eugene Fatheree 86-year-old Mt. Vernon, Illinois resident, Billie Eugene Fatheree, died on February 24th at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He served in the US Army during WWII and was owner of Ace Cleaners in Wayne City and Courtesy Cleaners in Mt. Vernon. He was a member of the Wayne City Masonic Lodge, past president of the Mt. Vernon Optimists Club, a member of Central Christian Church in Mt. Vernon, a past member of the First Christian Church of Wayne City, and a member of the Little Egypt Roadrunners Camping Club. Survivors include: two sons, Billy Ray Fatheree of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Keith Alan Fatheree of Girard, IL; one daughter, Lanna Kay Logan of Centralia; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a loving friend, Eva Lane of Fairfield and her caring family. Funeral Services for Billie Eugene Fatheree will held on Saturday, February 26th at the First Christian Church in Wayne City with burial in the Olive Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on February 26th at First Christian Church in Wayne City. The Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials may be made the the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Foundation or Wayne City First Christian Church and will be accepted at Richardson Funeral Home and Wayne City Christian Church.
