MT. VERNON - Karen Kay Davis, 67, of Champaign, passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at 8:37 a.m. She was born in Salem on April 10, 1943, to Francis and Virginia Prosise Wittenbrink. She married William D. "Bill" Davis in Mt. Vernon on May 20, 1961, and he survives. Also surviving are one son, Brian (Roberta) Davis of Mahomet; two daughters, Julie (Ed) Ogle of Mahomet and Jennifer (Skip) Frost of Tolono; eight grandchildren, Brittany and Brandon Davis, Melissa, Kyle and Lindsey Ogle, all of Mahomet and Ryan Howe, Jake and Lauren Frost, all of Tolono. She is also survived by two brothers, Donald (Glenda) Wittenbrink of Dix and Vernon (Linda) Wittenbrink of Haines City, Fla. Her mother, Ruth Wittenbrink of Mt. Vernon, also survives Karen. She was a customer service representative with the Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative for 19 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Champaign and loved traveling and gardening. Visitation for Karen will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West in Savoy. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church in Champaign with visitation at the church to be from 10 to 11 a.m. The burial will take place at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Mayview. Memorials should be directed to the First Christian Church or the Little Galilee Christian Camp in Clinton.
