Virginia Marie (Finn) Orrick, 94, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois was called to her heavenly home Friday, February 11, 2011 at 3:28 P.M. at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Mrs. Orrick was born on may 7, 1916 in Hamilton County, Illinois the daughter of the late Walter Columbus and Ethel (Tolley) Finn. She was united in marriage to William Eugene "Gene" Orrick on October 12, 1938 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Virginia is survived by her husband of 72 years Gene Orrick of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; daughter: Betty Jean (Jerry) Laur of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; their son: Clinton Mark (Kathy) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Mark's children: Courtney Michelle Laur of California and Alexander Damien Laur and his son: Logan Brian Laur of California, daughter: Colleen Marie (Dennis) Richards of Belle Rive, their children: Dawn Elaine Winkler of Belle Rive, her children: Morgan Yvonne Lusby of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, River Alan Winkler and Berlyn Elaina Winkler of Belle Rive, Jason Wade (Lindi) and their children, Andrew Wade and Sydney Rae of Belle Rive. She is also survived by siblings Jewell Bennette of East Alton, Illinois, Paul Finn of Sycamore, Illinois and Neva Davis of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Rena Birkhead and Reva Finn, brother: Eugene Finn, grandson: Eric Jeffrey Richards, five brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws. Virginia was a faithful member of Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church. VISITATION: will be held from 5 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. FUNERAL SERVICES: will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church in Belle Rive, Illinois. Reverend Richard McCormick, Reverend Jeremy Hamson and Reverend Melvin "Buck" Larson will officiate. INTERMENT: Belle Rive Cemetery in Belle Rive, Illinois.
